Struggle....

i struggle to find the words to say what has suddenly transpired since yesterday. I struggle to express how i feel without being too vindictive about it. Its not easy given how direct I usually am.

For me, the most important things in my life that i hold dear are my family and now in an even greater sense, my wife-to-be and my immediate family-to-be. In a lot of things I can be easy-going and relax on the way i do things, however when it comes to matters that involve them or potentially hurt them verbally or physically, I will be very harsh and protective. That is essentially who I am deep inside.

One of the other thing that irks me is being blamed for something that I did not do. That is a big no-no for me as well. I hate being framed.

So to have it all happen yesterday when i was just recovering from a bad flu ? wow... what a triple whammy that was.

The real impact hit me when i went to pick up wifey. I could only hug her tight. I respect and love her for what she decided to do in the end though and I am glad that I am reaffirmed again that i made the right choice in asking her to be my one and only for the rest of my life.

So as she is on her way now to china on her business trip, I wish her safe warm journey and I cant wait for her to be back in my arms again. I love you baby ! and I hope the designer can wow us when we next meet up with him.

Leaving On A Jetplane

i really should be packing my bags for my trip to china in the morning.

and stopping my sniffly nose from running too far.

but i couldn't help but log on to blog about something that happened today.

something that's testament to how snuffy has changed me for the better, without me even realizing it.

i was just a little too busy during the course of the day to have something i did (my head) meet up with something i feel (my heart).

so here i am now, emotions in disarray, sitting in my own little corner.

and then this fell out as i was opening my suitcase...

snuffy hubby had given this to me on the morning of the day he proposed.

considering how i would've said yes to that anyways, things just seemed a lot clearer.

i'm marrying a man who thinks i'm amazing enough to want to be with me for all time.

i have great friends who will be there to celebrate the occasion with us on the 7th of july.

my skeptic of a father has given us his blessings.

everything that matters is in place.

and i'm marrying eric. not the venue, nor the car, nor the gown.

i'm sure women in general would love to plan their dream wedding, wearing their dream gown...since it's something that should be done once only.

and why hold the extravagance when it's just for this once?

i absolutely agree.

but given what i've been through so far, my idea of a dream wedding would really just be snuffy hubby and me walking hand in hand down east coast park.

so the 7th of july will be nothing short of beautiful.

because you will get to see what you expect to witness.

no frills, no fanfare.

just two people who are very much in love.

i love you, eric.

and...that's all. =)

Love Will Keep Us Alive

i was standing all alone against the world outside
you were searching for a place to hide
lost and lonely, now you've given me the will to survive
when we're hungry
love will keep us alive.

the eagles were being way too optimistically sentimental on this one.

but yesterday showed me how true this was...to some extent.

snuffy hubby was sick silly and spent yesterday in bed.

i got sick towards the later part of the day and went back to rest with him.

by the late evening, we had both felt better and even managed a quiet drive to my place, littered with momentary glances and light kisses.

seeing the light return back to my darling's face is the most beautiful thing ever.

and...

he knows he can trust me to be there for him in his darkest hours.

so love isn't bread, but it can tide us through emotional rainfall.

Gwizzly's Adventures !

We initially thought of having a blog of just gwizzly pictures. Ever since we got back from HK we never really got around to doing it. So in order to kick start things, i have decided to post pictures of gwizzly we got from HK here for all to see :P (P.S. he will be our ring bearer !)

yay my first trip to HK !

Going to the peak !

ooo me and bigger bigger "brother"

Disney land !

where's Gwizzly?

Volks-va-gen

possible wedding car ?

I tink the black and white will look cool contrasting against the gown .. plus i wil probably be wearing a black or smokey black coat too... plus driving this vintage volks up to our solemnisation will be OH SO COOL ! (heheeh dun tell u all yet where we booked...)

The possible bad points for using this beetle is that we are both rather lengthy... plus not sure if all the gown can fit comfortably inside....plus i have to drive it myself...

hmmmmm

what do you all think?

Longer

Longer than there've been fishes in the ocean
Higher than any bird ever flew
Longer than thereve been stars up in the heavens
Ive been in love with you
I am in love with you.

snuffy hubby's sick today.

he had woken up this morning and sneezed his way to breakfast, and later, all the way back home.

but we still made it to our first appointment with the bridal shop - Sattine.

we walked out later with him still feeling extremely sniffly but know everything's falling into place.

it's nothing short of amazing to have a designer "get" you when you describe your dream gown.

i had picked out this one design from an american publication and it just so happens that he had a gown similar to that in his shop that he designed.

after the visit, snuffy hubby said i'd look absolutely stunning in that dress.

he repeated it again as we pulled up into his driveway and once more after he brushed his teeth and got ready for bed.

so here i am, typing in the dark while he's sleeping sound, loving how he has chosen me and wants to marry me.

get well soon sweetie.

Higher Ground

we're exploring a rather new direction to our original wedding plans.

this should be fun...

or rather, what-comes-after-the-wedding should be fun. =)

CRY

i'm very upset.

because of so many many factors.

the best i can do right now is to shrug off my emotions and do it.

whatever "it" is, i'm not sure.

running away together sounds like a pretty good option.

and if that makes us happy, would you approve of it?

would they approve of it?

on a brighter note, my snuffy hubby did the sweetest thing today.

work stressed me out today and i was about to burst.

so it was a pleasant surprise when i rushed into the studio to see him sitting on the couch ready to hug me, a muffin on the counter top.

he gave me a nice, warm hug before heading home and me going in to teach.

these are the gestures that casts his love for me in the ring he bought.

and i now believe him when he says he will be there for me in my darkest hours.

a car a car a vehicle of love

hi all,

well initially i planned to ask if my fren can lend me her dad's vintage jaguar. However due to unforseen circumstances, it might not be available. Does anyone who knows anyone who can lend us a nice car for our wedding car?

This Everyday Love

It’s ordinary plain and simple
Typical, this everyday love
Same 'ol, same ‘ol keeping it new
Emotional, so familiar
Nothing about it too peculiar
Oh, but I can’t get enough
Of this everyday love

i knew i was being too ambitious when i insisted on my personal committments and planning the wedding.

over the past couple of weeks, i've come to realize that the wedding must come first.

so teaching, lion dance and vivasalsa have all had to take a back seat.

my priority for the first two months was mastering my lion dance for the chinese new year performances.

now, it has to give because some of our appointments with the venue people and/or other wedding-related gigs fall on sunday during my training time.

week nights are spent visiting possible venues and discussing stuff.

the good thing is that we've probably gone through our worst bout of post-engagement, pre-marital jitters, and are ready to have fun. =)

and even as the wedding is constantly at the back of our heads, we aren't neglecting our couplehood.

whether it's watching "beauty and the geek" and marvelling at how some people don't even know what NYSE stands for, or throwing our opinions at each other, we never fail to have a lot of fun every time we meet.

no ordinary ring, no ordinary love, no ordinary lady

.:: love ::.

Tender Is The Night

snuffy hubby's mommy hasn't been feeling the lurve of late because of some things going on at home.

so after last night's shower, i decided to have a chat with her (while she tried to concentrate on that hong kong period serial on channel U).

talking with her about how things are going probably helped both of us see things a little clearer as we verbalized our thoughts.

at points of the conversation, snuffy hubby would come over, wrap his arms around me and kiss me.

i told snuffy's mommy that while he did go through several hard knocks, the most important thing is that he's forward-looking, he doesn't regret anything he's done and he has committed to learning from those experiences.

and those are the things that make eric my loving hubby-to-be.

then he runs over to hug and kiss me again. =P

during the course of the night, i awoke many times to pull the blanket on, then kick the blanket off (because it was too warm).

while the cycle irritated me to no end (rendering me sleepy this morning), snuffy hubby's little kisses and hugs soothed me back to sleep as soon as i've pulled the blanket on/kicked the blanket off.

and when i HAD to finally wake for work, he hugged me tight and said...

"it's so wonderful to be able to wake up next to you and hug you in the morning."

joyful glee

S: you so cute leh...really look like one of your school pics...the grin so wide
E: Cos i am so happy :)
S: hehhe bleah
E: guess who made me happy?
S: the brownie made you happy. :)
E: WRONGGGGGGGGGGG !

and i got the ring already! :p

my precioussssss.........

went to look @ one rochester today. Its a pretty nice and cosy place @ nite.. but to house 200+ pple during the day? i think not. Still if we were to decide to have a chill out party @ nite, this might be a plausible location....

then had a nice belated bd dinner with Simon/Wh and Cynthia. We got kinda lost because we tot the place was near Holland V.. and we had a pretty good laugh about it. hahaha dats wat i love about us too.. that we can pretty much joke and laugh at ourselves and each other.
Was pretty nice dinner with hot food and sweeeet desserts and i brought my polariod to snap snap snap away.

Gonna get my precioussssssssss tml... haahahah we are BOTh very excited :P

Mad About You

ever since i caught "mad about you", i've imagined a wedding album to be based on that theme.

alas, all i've seen so far are cookie-cutter outfits in cookie-cutter fashion at cookie-cutter weddings.

so now, it's my wish to have the paul-and-jamie-inspired black and white pictures as the theme for our wedding album.

if you've watched the sitcom starring paul reiser and helen hunt, you would've seen those black and white shots of them going through daily life - reading the paper, sitting on the sidewalk, walking the dog - as the credits roll through before the show starts.

and if you know of any website that may have these pictures, i'd really appreciate you letting us know...=)

cuz all i've found so far are colored shots of them in motion in the sitcom, and one nice shot of them laughing.

i'm so glad snuffy hubby and i think along the same lines...most times. =p

Spyderhole

the band's said yes to singing at our wedding!

and jas even asked me for my "wishlist" of songs.

spyderhole is an awfully funky name, considering the age group of the people in it.

let's just say that the songs we usually sing are creedance clearwater revival, the beatles, with a little bryan adams thrown in.

snuffy hubby asks if i'll be singing because he loves to hear me sing.

but that'll be rather unlikely. =)

he might do a number though.

that, plus us writing our own vows and the offers for a sponsored performance will make our wedding nothing short of exciting.

the anticipation is giving me such a buzz!

Stopped Whining

just last week, i was a mess trying to figure out how to please everyone and us.

today marks the start of a new era in our relationship.

i spilled my guts out to his parents this morning and didn't even have to try to make them see anything, because we were better than raised voices and knocking our antlers against each other.

so, in essence, it was a very good talk this morning.

but i emphatize with how his parents must feel today.

especially when their younger son, in the afternoon, announced another life-changing decision.

it was interesting to be caught in the middle of the cross-fire, though more importantly, i hoped my sharing of experiences and different perspective helped both parents and son see how they could help each other out.

in the end, i was more amazed at how i handled myself today.

i didn't even have to accommodate to anyone.

i was just me.

things could turn out perfect after all. =)

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire....

So we visited marina mandarin and then beaufort and emerald pavilion yesterday. Beaufort has this very nice green grassy patio that would be purfect for the solemnization.. but the room wasnt deco up so will need some effort to gussy it up like the pictures in the website.. (damm those professional photographers and photoshoppers that make it so hard for us to see the REAL thing :"P ) In anycase, after a good discussion with my parents just this morning, we have a bunch of questions to ask and bargain with Beaufort. :) *keeps fingers crossed*....

After some venue viewing yesterday, we topped it off by watching FORBIDDEN CHESTNUTS by Jonathan Lim and Hossan leong and another guy and another gal. Hmmm I have heard of this and its supposedly very good. Wuffy wifey say the very first one was VERY good. However if you are not really in tune with local scene, especially the theatre scene, then most of the jokes you might not get. I do feel the 2nd half after intermission was better but otherwise overdose of puns might not be a good thing.

In anycase, we had a good night last nite and i am ever so glad to wake up with my wuffy wifey next to me and we greet each other with smiles, "i love you"s and hugs. I can certainly get used to that :P

Yi Yi Bu Sher

see me sitting at the bottom right hand corner ? i'm in black... see wat i'm doing ? i'm smsing wuffy wifey who was in macau. Hheehehe.

Often times we use the words Yi Yi Bu Sher to express the reluctance to go home after I send her home at night.... reluctance to stop hugging each other...

Many times that night where YC had his steamboat party ? I was smsing her :p

Oh and good news to round up a hectic week, we manage to reserve (tentatively first!) a slot @ the Beaufort Sentosa!

YOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :p

initially it was reserved..then the couple released it so its ours ! ahahahah.... Tml we will go take a look @ Marina Mandarin, Sentosa (2 places) and watch Chestnuts (RA some more)

ought to be good!

Believe

believe in what your heart is saying
hear the melody that's playing
there's no time to waste
there's so much to celebrate

believe in what you feel inside
and give your dreams the wings to fly
you have everything you need
if you just believe.

people often tell me how the first three months of a relationship is generally "honeymoon stage".

they said you'd want to meet each other every day and, if possible, spend every waking (or not) moment together.

if this is convention, i'd say eric and me defied it.

we started off meeting each other about once, or perhaps twice a week, conscious of how the other party might want space and time to rest.

but as time lapped on, we started to grow closer and so, started to spend more time together.

we both fear we are monopolizing each other's time, so we often ask each other if we need some serene- or eric-time.

after a while, it turned out that he really only wanted eric-time then to shop for the ring and plan around the proposal to surprise me. =P

just yesterday, i asked if he wanted some eric-time since i was teaching.

he said...

"these days, i'd rather have serene-time. because i feel i am better with you around than without."

our affection for each other is still growing steadily as we trudge along the path to marriage.

we discover more about each other every day.

every morning seems to rejuvenate my love for him, so it seems like i'm falling in new love with him when i wake.

i'll be getting my ring back from the jeweller's next week. =)

can't wait to wear his ring again.

and he can't wait to feel it, my left hand held tight in his right.

on a different note....

my best man's wife just delivered ! Baby girl Trisha... hahah... so COol....

and from my grp of best frens cohort, my fren Kelly will also be marrying on 6th Oct ! Congrats everybody!

Last nite we went to watch

The show was pretty ok....rather gross @ times when u see how cows get butchered. But its so so only....

But the best times I had last nite was when i saw her before the show, she ran to me with open arms. I love tat...
Last nite when we whisper sweet nothings and hugged each other tight and din want to leave each other...... its moments like these that made me fall in love with her all over again....

and remind me why I WANT TO marry her and be with her for the rest of my life....

and why the wedding will mark the beginning of something beautiful!

I Only Wanna Be With You

i never knew that i could be in love like this
it's crazy but it's true
i only wanna be with you.

you stopped and smiled at me
asked me if i cared to dance
i ran into your open arms
and i didn't stand a chance.

i had lamented to the boss yesterday how i was emotionally drained from even thinking about planning the wedding.

he quipped how the wedding is sorta planted in to reinforce how the couple intends to live their lives.

how so?

option 1:

the couple do whatever they want for the wedding, make it all about themselves and enjoy it thoroughly because it is the start of something new for them. though at the risk of incurring the wrath of the older generation.

option 2:

the couple do whatever the parents want them to do and just adhere to their whims and fancies. after all, this is just a wedding day and perhaps it bears no significance to how the couple live their lives together after that day.

when eric and i first went out (after a year of on-off contact), the chemistry was so glaringly obvious.

hell, we had even wanted the same things for our wedding.

most importantly, we wanted for the day to be OURS.

and while i was planning how beautiful and perfect the day would be, i forgot how different eric and i really were.

in the last few years of my life, i had broken major conventions.

these made me the person i am today.

and while i had, at those times, disappointed people and family by not taking the road already tracked, i had proven myself to be capable and successful in my forays.

so in essence, my family trusts me enough for me to handle me, my life, my wedding and later on, my marriage.

i will not have to worry about feeling obligated to them because they have made it extremely clear how we should be happy about what we're doing.

eric, on the other hand, is an extremely good boy.

his relationship with his family is like me and mine, minus all the "rocking the boat" moments i'd share if you're really interested.

we are both close to our respective families.

eric is a good boy.

i guess that's all that needs to be said.

i was reminded by a friend (whose wedding is in november this year) that "the wedding venue is not the marriage".

so i guess the wedding day is not the marriage either.

as much as i had hoped for an occasion just for me and my snuffy hubby, i guess i should just be thankful that he's about to take the plunge with me.

we're about to spend the rest of our lives together and here i am, fretting about the perfect wedding.

BAH.

i concede to convention this time.

but i hope i will not have to live the rest of my life this way.

so in this sense, the wedding day will not be the biggest day of my life.

p.s: eric and i had started this blog as an update for friends and family, and also to track our journey of a wedding. so please allow us to whine a little. =) it's cathartic...=P

how hard can it be ?

pple complicate things.

In a nutshell, I just want my dear to be happy.... simple... short.. sweet..
In a nutshell, she just wants me to be happy.... straight forward, no misunderstandings...

how hard can it be ?

just how hard can it be ?

when u add other expectations ... seemingly very hard indeed....

looks like a lot of places are quite booked... hopefully SAM will get back to us soon with good news... anyways.. arranging to view a few places tml... maybe one of these places will wow us...

*cross fingers*

Setting The Wheels In Motion

i had just come out blurry-eyed and sleepy from a dry meeting.

and this brought a huge smile to my face...

Hi Serene

Mr Hon has agreed to solemnise your wedding .

Regards
Sandra Sim
Executive Secretary to Mr Noel Hon
Chairman, NEC Solutions Asia Pacific Pte Ltd

i think this is the best news i've heard all day. =)

you see...this guy is the president of the singapore scouts association, and i do look up to him.

him and his wife are an extremely loving couple and an excellent example of what a marriage should be.

considering how eric and i are bound not just by salsa, but also scouts, we thought this would be a nice touch.

and thank goodness we tried.

I Don't Know Much

but i know i love you
that may be all i need to know.

it's raining outside now and snuffy hubby's driven home after we kept dozing off while watching CARS at my place.

gloria called today to arrange a date for a bridal shower!

thanks for the thought girls...=)

some who've visited the blog may just know either eric or me, so i figured it's time to post some pictures of us both.

and what better a time to showcase some of our best times in hong kong...

waiting for the tram to The Peak

the top of The Peak

we were freezing our asses off and the tourists around probably got a hoot watching us jump around, him with camera in hand and me with gwizzly in palm.

before fireworks goodness...

and then it happened.

we checked out upper club quotes today, and decided i'll suss out the wedding venue while he sources for the party place.

it's been quite a rough day for the both of us but with our hearts in the right place, we know we'll get there.

and i know i'm ready to take the plunge.

because my safety harness of a snuffy hubby will hold my hand through it.

Sign here pls....

saw this and manage to convince wifey to buy it (though she raised her eyebrows many times because at this point in time i havent proposed yet!)

So these are the pens that we will use for signing the c-e-r-t-f-i-c-a-t-e-s...

aint it cool ? :P

Location, Location, Location!

so we are looking @ a few locations for the ROM/Wedding/Party @ nite...

1) Upper Club
2) Asia Civilization Museum
3) National Museum
4) Singapore Art Museum
5) Legends @ Fort Canning
6) Botanical Gardens
7) Jewel Box @ Mt Faber
8) Senso

Anyone else has any bright ideas care to share ? :P

heart attack

haha hopefully not too many ups and downs else soon will have high blood pressure and heart attack. Wifey also joked about this when we were in HK and i saw these pairs of cool rings and on a spur of the moment i mentioned we should get them now since we won't see them in Singapore. Wifey did a double take and was seriously worried I was being serious about it. I later thought "Nah...." and she breathed a HUGE sigh of relief.

She later gave due notice that I cannot bring her too much on such rollar coaster rides less her heart gives out.

heheeheehe :P

Weak in the knees

snuffy hubby's jealous of how i managed to think up this slang of a name for him.

"how come i can't think of something cooler than 'wifey' to call you?"

some of us just have it, i guess. =p

i cried a lot today for various reasons and he would claim responsibility for those tears.

but i realized, through the breathless sobs, that i was simply too in love with him to cause him any distress.

i hated myself for bringing things up that got him pulling his hair out wondering what the hell i was talking about.

he hated to see me so upset because he couldn't see my point.

in the end, we came to a compromise and that opened up a couple of other options.

today's heartwrenching session was not because we each wanted our way, but because we each just wanted the other person to be happy.

somehow, the jaded mess of us (or me) have surrendered to love and everything else (no matter how major or minor it may seem at tangible length) is just a tiny little bleep.

when i asked him why we had to concede to expectation, he said...

"ï just want to love you."

at the end of the day, our love for each other tide us over.

we anticipate many moments like this, but we'll face it hand in hand.

i also learnt that while i know something's gotta give, it really isn't that hard when you love him.

it's really not that hard.

For Good

i'm sorry i take you for granted dear.

i simply cannot show you enough of the love you deserve.

teach me how to love you.

Ala Carte or Package

Wifey manage to sign us up for HERworld bridal show before we flew to HK. So the next day after we touched down we went Bugis to get THE RING resized and then proceeded to the bridal show @ Marina Mandarin. So cute it is to actually see 2 frens there who are planning to get married too :) The show is rather messy with lotsa pple (especially when the food came on). There was a fashion show too however me and wifey were falling asleep halfway through.. hahaah... :p

We then walked around looking @ packages. Now ORIGINALLY the intention was to have cha-pa-lang (or Rojak) style cos wifey does know a lot of connections. However when we approached the Sattine booth, I think we were quite sold. Wifey's cousin previous had the package from Sattine and though it was pricey, the photographs were very good. As in the photographer was good, he bothers to understand who you are and thus has more personal touch to the photographs. This plus the person handling us was rather friendly and after checking with my bro, we took up the package for quite a good price. How good it will be ? we will keep this blog updated. The timeline still seems plausible hehehehe..

now i need to find a car (hoping that my friend's old jaguar is available) ..
and a place for solemnization..
and a place for partying @ nite....
and......and a plan to break thru the bouncers that will be @ wifey's place @ the morning.....

heeheehee

A whole new world..

so here we are. Lets recount how we got here shall we?
In a nutshell, I got the ring some time back in early dec. It was the best amongst the others I have seen (note: I never knew so much information abt rings till i had to get one. And boy oh boy did i learn a LOT) and it just so happens its GOLDHEART which is a brand who's designs my wifey loves.

Then came the planning of HOW to propose. Now this is no simple matter. Initially I had wanted to do it on xmas eve with her family and relatives around. But i tot it was not too private and maybe not too nice. So i had a hard thought. Got some inspirations and decided on a spur of a moment to ask my dear to extend her leave (she was in macau with her family) and go to HK with me (my ole stomping grounds for when i was with NCS). She could. And thus now I have to plan HOW to propose in HK.

Initially was the Peak but that was a bit overdone (plus in my past experience too many pple there). Then was this idea to do it @ the restaurant @ Disneyland. However I felt it was kinda tacky. Then i was given information that there were fireworks every night and thus BINGO !

Now i cant tell u how stress I was in keeping this secret in me that i was going to propose to her. Before i reached the airport, i checked if the ring was there. Aboard the plane, i checked the ring. After the plane, i checked the ring. After our first night, i checked the ring. Before we went Disneyland, i checked the ring. Not to mention my wifey gave me stress too when she commented that it was way too long to waste time waiting from 6pm onwards to 9pm (where originally i tot the fireworks are scheduled to fire off. Btw the Disneyland IS indeed VERY VERY SMALL) I had to give her puppy eyes to convince her to stay. Luckily for me, the fireworks started @ 7pm.

So there we were, sitting there waiting for fireworks to start. I decided to keep my camera so i can "enjoy" the moment with her so i said. Then pple started crowding in front of us so we stood up to enjoy the view. She started filming the fireworks. I tot this was cool as she could record wat happens next (heeheehee). So when the fireworks started, I was wondering when I should propose.

Just nice, she stopped filming and was in my arms. Just nice the music "A Whole New World" began. Now here is wat i tot would happen in my mind:

me: Dear if there was anything else i can do to make u happier, you must tell me hor...
her: Ok. Me too hor...
me: Actually there is something you can help me with.... <<>>

However, this is what really transpired:

me: Dear if there is anything else i can do to make you happier, you must tell me hor..
her: ok...

me: dot dot dot...

So i placed the ring box into her hand and opened it and asked "Will you marry me?"
What followed afterwards were bouts of wet eyes interspaced with laughter from both of us as we try to wrap our minds around what has happened and trying to enjoy the fireworks. Ahahahah.. I am sooooo happy she said yes but i had to ask 1 more time (just in case....)

Afterwards, we told our parents about it and she sms-blasted out to her close frens....

and the rest they say.. is history :P

In hindsight, i think all in all, things just fell into place for me and serene.
a) The ringbox i happen to chance upon it on ebay and immediately bought it. Luckily the seller was kind enough to send it overseas and send it via express as she knew what i intended to do with it.
b) I got the ring from her favourite shop and it was just nice for her finger (carat size i mean :p )
c) it din rain in HK. I had no wet weather plans !
d) It was a nice song to propose to
e) fireworks were nice..
f) a kid next to us puked after i had proposed and were hugging away. We manage to siam most of it. And no, the kid did not puke becos we were too ro-mar for the kid...

yay... wat a great start to 2007 !!!

Prologue: Of White Hair and Tears

two months.

yes, just two months.

and here we are, engaged and ready to be married.

for everyone who's asked why i'm so sure it's not just the honeymoon period talking, i tell them this...

"every morning he wakes up next to me, he holds me close, kisses me and tells me he loves me, is very lucky to have me in his life and that i'm beautiful."

he proposed on wednesday, the 3rd of january this year.

at disneyland hong kong, during fireworks.

and after a tumultous year, he is like the hand that's reached into the quicksand (at the risk of being sucked in himself) to pull the mess of me out.

straggly hair and all.

we've agreed to write our own vows for the occasion, which is targetted to be on the 7th of july this year.

so here starts our first chapter on our little project - which we call OUR WEDDING - together.

and this blog will track our journey from two months back through to the day we walk down the aisle together...and beyond.

snuffy hubby says he's got white hair from keeping the proposal secret until last wednesday. =p

we hope you enjoy reading this, as much as we'll enjoy writing it.

how sweet it is to be loved by you.

- james taylor.
