taking a breather...

three papers down, two more to go.

i'm THIS sure i'll be failing at least one paper, failing (pardon the pun) which i would just barely scrape through - something which i will be very happy about.

exams are really not my thing.

i have an econs paper tomorrow and a political science paper on saturday.

i strongly suspect having five papers during the week is costing me my grades. =(

anyways, as i was pottering the hubby's room yesterday, i found that these things always make me smile (in absence of snuffy hubby)...

of course, there's our wedding photo series...

we had brought gwizzly and donald to our photoshoot because they are so us.

we also loved that gwizzly played a major part in our wedding - from being the model on our invite to being our ring bearer. =)

a short honeymoon later, we added two more members to the gang - viktor (from just for laughs) and sully (from monsters inc.).

sully never fails to get me smiling because he just looks so cheeky.

and hubby is as glad we got sully because i was contemplating buying him at the fifth avenue disney store but didn't get him until we were at california disney.

the gang keeps me company during the day...

until snuffy hubby comes back home. =)

Things you do when you poop

What do you do when you poop?
well... i kinda do a variety of things...(depending on what i have on hand)....

Usually its my handphone and thus i got a nice shot like that above. Don't you think the walls put a nice green tint on my face? :P
Usually its our handphones that keep us company (come on i know some of u play games whilst waiting for gravity to do its job...)
I was looking at the photos i had in my HP (yay the wonders of modern technology) and i was thinking back on the time before i was with my wife. I was checking out her blog (it IS a very interesting blog u know :P) and was getting to know her without actually meeting her. Whenever i see shots of her i would always think " Wow.. if i could be so lucky...."
and little by little... it seems luck does seem to shine on me (things kinda have a way of happening to me.. though i dunno why.... )
and viola....

We are married :)

Its nice to take some time out from my uber busy working day (now is very uber.. with all the outsourcing madness and wierd deadlines and pple who set the deadlines then going on their holiday leaves.... mumble mumble) to think about my wife and think about what we have had so far and are going to have

not so long ago...

snuffy hubby told me something very sweet today.

on a rare breather moment today, he took his cellphone out and started scrolling through the pictures he took of me and of us.

he said that looking at those pictures reminded him of how he used to visit my blog not too long ago and would look at my pictures, thinking how cool it would be to be the one who makes me smile and taking those photos of me.

"i thought 'how cool it would be if she were my girlfriend' and now all that's come true! she's even my wife now!"
aww.


thank you, snuffy hubby, for your support through my first exam in years...and the ice cream treat tonight. =)

CREATIVE THINKING...

so the creative thinking presentation is finally over!

and now the studying can begin proper. =P

two weeks ago, the team set up a booth outside the SMU kopitiam with a sign with the words "ask me a question".

we invited passer-bys to ask us whatever questions they had in mind for a low donation of 10 cents per question.

the amount raised would go to a charity project (Project Nepal, probably) organized by one of the SMU clubs.

we applaud and thank those who patronized our booth and had us wrecking our brains for creative answers to your creative questions. =)

Oh have i ever mentioned...

its hard for us to keep secrets from each other?
like this time when wifey bought the ipod touch for moi, she was so excited that she just had to leak out to me that she bought me an xmas gift and when it was coming etc.
She was so excited she just had to give it to me rather than wait for xmas to come ard :)
For me, it was when i proposed. I was so excited when i bought the ring but i had to hold it in. I was so excited that we managed to get a trip to hk together cos i was going to propose to her then.
I was so excited that the ring was with me in my luggage (i tink she saw the object but din ask me what it was. .. *heng*).
I was so excited that we get to go disneyland (cos i proposed to her there). Actually at that time i was contemplating either the Peak or Disneyland. Peak was too crowded and too cold... so Disneyland won out then :p
So for both of us, it takes rabbit-hopping, skin-bursting, hair-tearing will to keep such secrets from one another..

i love it :p

guess wat ?

xmas came early for me ! :P wifey surprised me today wif a awesome cool slightly pants wetting gift. Its an ipod touch ! hahha guess what, this is my FIRST mp3 player ever ! :P hahaha i cant wait to put it thru its paces... apps ah, scheduling la, photos la (first thing i did was put our wedding pics inside heee)
so i'vent been blogging cos.. well... been playing WoW *weak grin*.... but we did quite a lot of stuff (which wifey blogged so far).
we saw puppies, we went blading, my wife went mcing again, saw more puppies, got my psp slim (traded in).... and well i had more work to do. Office work's been piling up. Mostly cos pple left and the work got settled onto my team leader's shoulders, and thus.. our own too. I sure hope i don't have to come back to work on xmas.. else that WOULD suck...

Oh yea we will be going for cruise the week b4 xmas. That will be fun. Looking forward to it :P
Well wife's exams are a wk away ! i am sure she will be able to score well for it and do the best as she has always been doing for so much of her life :p

oh and if things work out, wifey might be going to a far away land.. ok not that far.. but still far from me for 1st half of 2008 :) it will definitely be extremely exciting for her ! and for me as well when i go visit her :P

my wife is the greatest.. have i ever mentioned that ? hee-hee-hee

EXAM FEVER...

it's a week from my exams.

shudder.

i haven't started revising for them and i'm not sure why i'm not getting that stressed out at the prospect of not being able to finish revising.

perhaps being married changes my mindset about what's really important.

everything else pretty much falls to the sidelines, even though i used to think of those things as the be all.
i'll be taking five papers, while the majority of students are taking four, or three.

WEEKEND MADNESS

so the weekend came and went.

saturday morning was spent at east coast park blading, and having my first fall!

it was still a fun morning spent with the hubby, brother, parents and sue en. =)

the hubby and me then decided to head over to my parents' place with the new card game he got yesterday (a couple of hours before we were to attend a scout dinner at spring court).

we tried my mom's tiramisu ice cream (yummers!) and spent some time playing "zeus on the loose" with the bro, before we all shuffled off to dinner.



the night ended with us zoning out in front of the telly. =P

and sunday afternoon was spent at the wild wild wet water theme park at downtown east.


it was a really small park, but wasn't too bad for a scaredy cat like me!

the hubby and friends could've used more of a challenge though.

dinner of honey-bourbon ribs and the new york strip of a steak was extremely satisfying. =)

the two of us then hopped over to the pet store down the street, played with the puppies some, and got a contact for a husky breeder...*beams*

puppies always lift me up.

i can only imagine how owning one would affect our lives, but i do know for sure that we would be good parents to it. =)

the night ends with a slice of cake from the cheesecake cafe, and puppy thoughts consuming my mind.

on a separate note, nothing beats the cool outta my hubby. =)

as of now reaching 70, i have managed to become revered with Thrallmar and Cenarion Expedition (which my current main hasnt even achieved yet) so i think that's an achievement. I am also poised to get my Kara key fragments. I can't wait to get revered with the other factions :)

LAST POLITICAL SCIENCE ESSAY!

that's right.

the last political science essay for the term is done!

i'm extremely relieved that this is the last of the three term papers i have to hand up for this module, but am rather dissatisfied with the content of my latest paper "Globalization: Does It Discourage War?"

my previous two were a comparison between presidential and parliamentary systems and whether religion is the underlying cause of most conflicts (i enjoyed writing this one).

exam's on in two weeks...

i'm glad the term zipped by so quickly, but am not sure i've absorbed that much within this time to warrant my advance to the next term.

so far, my journey into varsity hasn't quite given me enough reason to think that school's really that important now.

i appreciate the knowledge i've gained as a result of my first term and the few genuine souls i've encountered along the way, but i'm still missing my job.

my boss has been an absolute sweetie, encouraging me to take on ad hoc assignments because he wants to keep me on his payroll.

i guess it's hard for him to not have me around anymore, given how we've slogged through the last four years together.

but things are better now, what with the company moving ahead and upward.

so now i'm playing the roles of an employee, a student, a daughter/in-law, a sister and a wife, the last two being my favorite. =P

i am thankful for the presence of my husband.

and for the rollerblades and ice cream treats he's showered on me.

and for the mornings he wakes up next to me, kisses me, and tells me that he loves me.

what a day.....

bought wifey her blades over the sat and we got to use it today @ ECP ! :) after blading for about over half an hour we called it a day and went for dinner. She was good cos she hasnt been blading for some time but she got to it easily . Yay ! soon we + eugene will be zipping ard ECP on our way cool blades...

and.. what a night to remember.. intensive.... family stuff...
still it showed us how we are made for each other.... and we know we will be for each other, thru thick n thin, thru the ben and the jerry's and thru all the puppies we will have. oh yea.. kiddies too :P
