Our Honeymoon...NYC first...

so the next day after our wedding, we packed our bags and boarded a 6am plane to fly to NYC. So after a nice breakfast with both families, we bounced our way into the plane and prepared for a SUPER UBER long flight to Narita and then LA and then to NYC...

Our first breakfast in NYC.

Then we took a nice morning stroll to the 5th Avenue Apple shop and got to play with the IPHONE !!! OMG OMG OMG, its such a damm cool phone... heheh like i blogged previously... its definitely something i will keep an eye out for when it comes to sg :P

Then our fun continued :)

one of the nice places to eat recommended by online guides. They sell hotdogs with fruit juices.. recommended is the Papaya juice. Not bad.. quite refreshing...

Nathan's hotdogs ! Where the world hotdog eating competitions have been held. Not bad the hotdogs... glad we took the long trip to coney island (the rides wasn't open so bummer..)

Chocolates galore !!!

One of the musicals we watched was WICKED. Its an alternative story set in the backdrop of Wizard of Oz. Its about the story of the wicked witch of the west and how she came about to where she was in the story and how things are usually not as they seem to be. The props were great. Set and all that was very elaborate. But the show was not as fantastic as we preferred. Kinda disappointing. Maybe we were suffering from jet lag too.

The other musical we decided to watch on the spur of the moment is HAIRSPRAY. Now that one is GOOD. Very lively and fun show to watch and we are glad we caught it :) The props were simple but bright colors and super reddish. The movie, where John Travolta will be dressed as the mom, ought to be good... recommended !

food that we had in NYC. Surprisingly we din really eat as much as we had expected to eat. Mostly we shared food / appetizers and walked a LOT. So amazingly i managed to slim down a bit :)

Oh... we tried to get into the morning show and get interviewed or something. So we brought our "Just Married" sign there and joined the crowd. I think we were glimpsed on TV but can't be sure. :P

So we took a morning flight over to Montreal via Detroit. That morning flight was horrible. It gave me a chance to see how .... bad a queue at the airport can be. Its horrible! There was a LONG line of pple queueing to go to the ticket booths (for those without Etickets). Then this queue was constantly being jumped by older pple or pple with various reasons. Luckily we had eticketing. But even then the kiosks weren't working everytime.
Then afterwards we moved to the security check area to go into the gates waiting area. We were slightly later than this family with like, 7 kids (maybe adopted). And the 1 solo security guard there was definitely overwhelmed till someone FINALLY came forward to try to process the rest of us who were stuck behind this family.
But even after we got in, we were singled out to be checked and searched.

SIGH.

Oh also the homeland security team had an issue with my passport. Because i had a working visa and it got lost before and i think recently the visa expired... so i must've confused their system or something. Because just last year i came over for LA congress and there wasnt any such issue. *bummer*.
Still these are only small hiccups ... overall we had lotsa fun in NYC :p
